We started our meal with the Aamchi Mumbai Sandwich, a beautifully spiced, grilled vegetarian sandwich. The chutney spread, combined with fresh cucumber, tomatoes, onions, and cheese, created a deliciously refreshing yet bold flavor. The sprinkle of masala powder added an extra kick, and the side of chips and ketchup made it even better. Next, we tried the Gwalia Paneer Tikka, which was incredibly flavorful. The soft, melt-in-the-mouth paneer chunks were marinated to perfection, making every bite a delight. The seasoning was just right, balancing the smokiness and spices beautifully. To wrap up our meal, we enjoyed a Mango Shake, likely made with mango pulp and topped with ice cream. It was thick, creamy, and the perfect sweet ending to our lunch. Overall, this restaurant offers an excellent dining experience with authentic Indian flavors, generous portions, and a welcoming ambiance. Definitely a must-visit for Indian food lovers!

Gwalia Sweets was a delightful stop! The chaats were flavorful and fresh, and the sweets were perfectly sweet—just how they should be. The servers were very friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. A great place to enjoy authentic Indian snacks and desserts. Highly recommended!

It took me three visits to post the review, but I'm glad that I'm finally posting it. This place is a gem in Calgary offering really sumptuous food with a large variety of options. Paradise for vegitarian food. No disappointment at all. The staff is courteous, prompt and very helping in selection of food. The owners are personally present all the time and pay full attention. They chat with the guests personally for a good time to take feedback about food and service. This touched me. Food quality is next level. They ask you about your spice level tolerance and the best part is, the food justifies it. Ambiance would not let you miss India. Food portion is decent. Recommended dishes: Paneer Butter Masala (the gravy is to die for) Hakka Noodles Masala Papad Bullet Naan Garlic Naan Aamchi Mumbai Sandwich Akhrot Halwa The Star of the show is their Gulab Jaamun. I can bet, they got the best Gulab Jaamun in while Calgary. Desi Ghee and pure Mawa used to prepare. I wouldn't complain about the prices as the quality they serve is fully justified. A Michelin Star level......

I took myself out for dinner and this place was delightful. Large seating area, nice booth seating. I had the samosa chat which was so good, the spinach paneer and garlic nann. Way too much food for one but I took home leftovers. The service was excellent. Nancy made me feel welcome and taken care of. Can't wait to come here again. This place would be great for large parties. Best party ever, if you had this food!

After moving to Calgary, I always missed the authentic flavors of India. However, my experience at Gwalia Sweets and Restaurant brought back the essence of Indian flavors. When I tried their tandoori momos, Chinese bhel, and my all-time favorite, the Amritsari kulcha & chhole combo, it felt like I was enjoying a meal back in India. The tandoori momos were soft, smoky, and spiced to perfection. The aroma translated beautifully into the taste. The Chinese bhel was served in generous portions, and they maintained the perfect balance of Indo-Chinese flavors. I've visited Gwalia three times now, and twice it was just to savor their Amritsari kulcha and chhole combo, which has now become my personal favorite dish. I highly recommend visiting Gwalia Sweets and Restaurant. Keep serving such amazing dishes, and I’m sure you’ll win more hearts!
